A Journey to Tennessee’s Hidden Gems
Our adventure began with a journey to Tennessee, a state renowned for its diverse fishing opportunities and stunning natural landscapes. From the rolling hills to the serene lakes, Tennessee offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards for anglers. Our destination was Chickamauga Lake known for abundant fish and picturesque surroundings.
Meeting Jacob Foutz
Jacob Foutz is not just a skilled angler; he’s a passionate advocate for the sport, habitat conservationist, a Bassmaster Elite Series angler and an expert in navigating Tennessee's waters. His knowledge of the local fishing hotspots and techniques was invaluable throughout our trip. Jacob welcomed us with a warm smile and an enthusiasm that set the tone for the day ahead.
The Gear in Action

Endurance Shorts: Reaching those fish at the water line, running the Nitro from spot-to-spot, deploying the trolling motor, launching and docking the boat we were never once restricted in movement by our shorts. With cooling and wicking properties these shorts offer ultimate functionality. Jacob remarked he’d wear these shorts everyday if he could.
Memorable Moments on the Water
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the fishing. Under Jacob’s expert guidance, we navigated the serene waters and experienced the thrill of landing some impressive catches. From bass, panfish, walleye, and catfish the diverse fish population of Chickamauga Lake made the day an adventure.
One particularly memorable moment was when the mid-day sun and clear blue bird sky made the fish skittish although plenty had been identified with side, down and forward-facing electronics and Jacob quickly changed techniques from a jig and plastic to a jigging rap with erratic action and triggered a reaction bite from a 6+ lbs. largemouth bass. The excitement of the catch, combined with the breathtaking scenery, made for an unforgettable experience.

As our trip came to a close, we reflected on the incredible experience and the role our gear played in making it all possible. Jacob Foutz’s expertise and enthusiasm for fishing, combined with Fish Lake Co’s top-notch gear, created a perfect synergy that allowed us to fully enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Tennessee.
